ALTERNATIVE DEGREE PROGRAMSDesigned for the Overseas Teaching Experience!!!
ITC recognizes the ongoing need
worldwide for certified English Language teachers . Although there is
still opportunity for teachers who have varying types of training and
education, the demand for teachers who hold completed university
degrees (Bachelor) and college diplomas (Associated Bachelor) has
increased dramatically. Moreover, many positions require job specific
education and training, namely a concentration or specialization in
English as a Foreign Language (EFL)
ITC also recognizes that there are many individuals who have both the ability and desire to teach English as a Foreign Language overseas, but cannot obtain quality employment due to increasing requirements for formal education, and often university or college degrees. To meet these challenges, while providing increased opportunities to individuals who would like to be able to combine the wonderful opportunity of teaching overseas and exploring foreign cultures, ITC now offers alternative degree programs especially designed to help those candidates who may have incomplete degrees or diplomas in any discipline, or who may be in the process of completing their degree or diploma. Candidates may also receive credit for their academic and life achievements to date, and achieve a completed degree, diploma or certificate with a concentration or specialisation in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Candidates may have achieved partial academic credits from recognized institutions, or may have studied at several institutions over past years. Academic credits from all disciplines are recognised and in fact, may be integrated as a core element of the ITC degree or certificate. These credits will be supplemented by a concentration of study and credits in TESOL, which will enhance and complete the degree. ITC degrees which incorporate academic achievement from other recognized institutions, supplemented by focused studies in TESOL will bridge the gap between qualifications of prospective teachers and the qualifications required by international governments and educational institutions. ITC degrees are highly attractive to potential employers overseas. They are job specific, with a concentration in TESOL and highlight the graduate's relevant education and training from other institutions. ITC degrees are accredited by LATIE( Licensing Authority for Teaching International English) Who Should Take an ITC Alternative Degree?Bachelor of Education
