TEACHING EFL IN ASIA

Want to major in Asian studies for your B.Ed. in EFL? Now is the time to do it.

While the program to complete the General B.Ed. program is of necessity general in design, the Asian program of studies requires that all study required to complete your B.Ed. whenever possible be undertaken with a strict focus on teaching English in Asia.

A minimum of  50 credits MUST focus on your MAJOR teaching area.

This will emphasize the study program of the mini-thesis and the curriculum portfolio from the current general program of study.

Additional, the  teacher will have two extended optional study programs to chose from for 25 credits each.

A primary research survey of the opportunity for and the impact of English on the culture of the National, Regional and local identity of the people.

AND

A comparison and contrast between the educational system that you grew  up with and the educational system of your students. Compare and contrast both the sciences and the arts subjects with respect to material covered at  least 3 levels, approach to teaching by the teacher and approach to learning by student. What is the position and influence of the family and the community at large in your environment and that of your student?
