TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

BETWEEN: INTERNATIONAL TESOL COLLEGE AND (insert your name), THE PARTICIPANT

International TESOL College. agrees to provide the  PRACTICE TEACHING or B.Ed.  PRACTICUM to the PARTICIPANT under the following TERMS AND CONDITIONS and the PARTICIPANT agrees to abide by the said TERMS AND CONDITIONS as follows:

1. The requested participation dates  are  from  , 2005 to  , 2005(insert confirmed dates)

2. The location of the program is Mexico .

3. The official start of the program  shall be 9 am on the Monday. All participants shall arrive in Progreso on the previous Sunday between noon and 8pm. or Monday morning between 8 am and 9 am. ONLY, The official start date of this specific program  is Monday the  day of  , 2005 (insert confirmed start date)

4. The official end of the program  shall be noon of the Sunday  of the final week of the program.   The departure date of this specific program is Sunday the  day of  , 2005.(insert confirmed finish date)
The PARTICIPANT may extend his/her stay on the program  by one additional one week at a cost of $500.US. per week. All extensions must be made and prepaid a minimum of 30 days prior to start of the program. If applicable, additional time that has been purchased and confirmed starts on the  day of  , 2005 and finished on the  day of  , 2005. (Insert dates)

5. The focus of the program  shall be to provide supervised English teaching and training opportunities to the PARTICIPANT.

6. The program  shall also include the opportunity for the PARTICIPANT to become culturally aware of the Mexican or Chinese people.

7. The program  includes: 3 meals per day,( 1 meal on Saturday)  and accommodations after arrival at the final destination until departure at the end of the program, all local costs of cultural and language activities and all local transportation costs while teaching.

8. The fee paid for the program shall be the mandatory food plan of $200. US per week PLUS a $50. per week payment for program materials and local transportation. Program fees exclude: international and national transportation from point of departure to arrival at program site, all international taxes and transportation fees, all customs, visa and other fees and any additional trips or activities that are not part of the program.

9. The PARTICIPANT will undertake English teaching and training assignments as required to fulfill the primary focus of the program. The number of hours required to prepare/observe, train  and teach will be approximately 20 hours per week.

10. PARTICIPANTS will be monitored throughout their program and will be formally observed and documented.

11. PARTICIPANTS agree to abide by all reasonable directions given by the program  staff with respect to teaching, living and travelling while on the program.

12. PARTICIPANTS must recognize the importance of cooperation between the leaders and all PARTICIPANTS and among the PARTICIPANTS themselves and strive to participate and cooperate fully during the program..

13. All  PARTICIPANTS recognize that any PARTICIPANT creating dissension, or irresolvable trouble of any kind shall be required to leave the Program immediately with no liability to International TESOL COLLEGE.

14. All  PARTICIPANTS must recognize the importance of cultural sensitivity and will ensure their full effort in showing respects for all aspects of the local culture. Personal concerns regarding food, health/ sanitation, should be directed to the program  leader, not local staff or students.

15. All  PARTICIPANTS must recognize the need to be in good health to embark upon the program and the need to maintain that good health at all times during the program. Caution must be taken with respect to all food or drink consumed and any private activities taken outside the  program.

16. All  PARTICIPANTS must have purchased private health insurance coverage prior to departure from their home country. Proof of this insurance will be required prior to admission to the program.

17. All  PARTICIPANTS must have with them a personal credit card or bank debit card to use in case of emergency. 20) Any expenses incurred on behalf of the PARTICIPANT by the leaders or International TESOL COLLEGE not included in the total cost of the program  shall be paid immediately before departure from the program.

18. The  PARTICIPANTS acknowledge and understand that this program is offered is an unique opportunity and that the living conditions offered in many parts of the world may not always meet North American standards and that patience and understanding of local cultures may be required to thoroughly enjoy the program.

19. In light of the possibility of substandard North American accommodations, all efforts are made to ensure safe, clean and modern accommodations at all times possible.

20. While participants are encouraged to enjoy the local culture and nightlife, over indulgence is not compatible with the program. Participants should recognize that in order to offer excellent security to participants that the house accommodating the participants shall be locked at midnight from Sun. - Thurs. and at 2 am on Fri. and Sat. nights. The house will be opened at 6 am every morning. No exceptions will be made.

21. The  PARTICIPANT acknowledges having read these TERMS and CONDITIONS and hereby agrees to follow them in recognition of the benefit to all

PARTICIPANTS.
